Take Me With You, I Start To Miss You...

Home.
It was heelllllll getting here - from beginning to end it has been disaster after disaster.

On Tuesday after we left the airport [after breaking one of the airport's doors with a ski bag, hahaha] we all piled into the truck and took off. About 20 minutes into our trip one of the ski bags fell off the roof and onto the highway. We turned around to go back and pick it up and as we were coming up to the spot it had dropped [going the other direction, of course] Jessie spotted a white pick up driving away with our purple ski bag sticking out the back. We called the cops and explained what had happened, and about 15 minutes after the phone call had been made the bag was returned. Natalie was freaking out the whole time - worried that her new racing skis had been in the bag and were damaged when it fell. She was lucky - her skis were in the other bag but of course, I have horrible luck and mine were in the bag that had fallen off the roof, greeeeaat..
Wednesday Natalie, Caleigh, Jessie and I all went out skiing together, which was fun. Jessie and Natalie had both been skiing the whole week before and were adjusted to it so I stuck with Caleigh for the most part. Thursday Natalie and I went out together and had Near-Death-Experience-#87410. Seriously, we do such stupid things when left alone. We went up to the top of the mountain again except this time instead of the black diamond we took the double black diamond, which included a massive bowl [for those of you who don't ski, a bowl is basically a huge indent in the hill. Kind of like a crater] The top half of the run was fine, until we got into the bowl. We stopped in order to organize our self before realizing that we couldn't see the base of the run - it was almost directly below us. After a few If-I-Die-I-Love-You-s, we got a few quick turns in a then managed our way out of the bowl and back onto the regular hill. Thursday was also New Years Eve, which was fun. Natalie, Jessie, Caleigh and I went out to the lodge at the base of the mountain and checked out what was happening there. On our way back later on that night we crossed paths with a few guys about the same age as Caleigh, Natalie and I. We stayed and talked to them for a bit - the usual, until none of us could feel our legs anymore and we had to go.
[We are going to skip over Friday, it was the same as tuesday]
Yesterday/Saturday was another 13 hour travel day starting at 7:30am. We got to the airport around 11:30 and found out Air Canada had messed up our tickets and had us booked on the Sunday flight. After a half hour of panic they concluded that there were seats for us on the plane, except not everyone could go. Natalie and Jessie had to go so Caleigh and I were going to stay behind.
Then only one person had to stay behind.
Then two had to stay behind.
Then back to one.
And then there were enough seats for all of us.
In the end we all got on the flight except our luggage didn't make it. Caleigh and I had some things with us as we took some stuff out of our bags when we thought we were staying but Natalie and Jessie were on their way to a race [skiing] without skis, poles, helmets or gloves sunday morning.
Like I said, it was hell getting home, but we got here.

Moving on, today I saw Cassie which was sooo nice, and I'm now procrastinating. I have a major essay due tomorrow, which I haven't started writing yet. I'm hoping that writing here will get me into a good mindset for essay writing [highly unlikely, but whatever..]

One last thing, something that is really bothering me right now is that Caleigh talks about Thumper a lot, and now I'm back stuck thinking about him. It's sooo bad, I know, but how do I help it? GOD - is it in human nature to ALWAYS want what we can't have? Because we're never happy with what we've got.

- xx, Kelly.
