Its Still Legal, He's 17...

Spent yesterday night with a few of my favorite people! Went out to visit Belle, Emmie and Angel and couldn't have spent my friday night in better company. They met me at the bus, and from there we (stopped to get changed, then) went back to their school to watch the boy's soccer game. As luck would have it, we didn't actually end up watching the game at all. Instead, we watched one of their guy friends refuse to pay a debt he owed another guy. Of course, because he is so stubborn he never thought that paying would be a good idea. He got a smack to the face, and a very interesting warning before he slipped out without anyone seeing him. They promised him that if he didn't pay up he would have his bike, phone, wallet, and shoes (if they were nice enough) stolen. Yeah.

After those guys had all left, The four of us went over to talk to a friend, her boyfriend and his friend. We stayed and watched the game for a bit (which sucked, they lost) until the friend asked us all if we needed a drive home. We told him we would walk, and the three of them drove off as we walked. When we were about half way back to Emmie's house Belle got call from them asking if we wanted a ride to go get food. Obviously that worked - it was freezing cold, and we were hungry. So the 7 of us shoved into the 4-seat car. The 5 girls in the back. We went and got a bite to eat, and just hung out with them for a bit. Later on they dropped us off by Emmie's house and Belle, Emmie, Angel, their friend and I went back to Emmie's for the rest of the night.

I miss those girls SO MUCH!

I've been talking to Kristie a bunch. We've been planning a return visit to Ireland for next summer! We're trying t figure out a way to make her dad want to drop 20K in one place.. Thoughts???

Not sure if I've mentioned this, Tiffany's uncle isn't doing well, so she might have to go out for his funeral next week. Her mum has been out there with him for the past week or so, and if she has to go she'll be missing spirit week - aka. the week of school where you do nothing but spend time with friends. On a brighter note - she's showing me her homecoming dress either tonight or tomorrow! Woo!

Speaking of homecoming - my school won their homecoming football game today - first time in 7 years! Haha.

In Need of Some Retail Therapy...

WOW - I haven't written in a while! School has been sooo busy, and I just haven't seemed to have any spare time! Lets go back, and look at the highlights of the past week or two.

1. In Phys-Ed we had to do all sorts of fitness appraisals, and of course, little Kelly can pull her own weight! We had to do the 'Flexed arm hang', basically you hang on a chin-up bar, and your chin has to stay above the bar, for as long as you can. The record before my class was Pearse's, and it was 1:20. A guy in my class beat that, with 1:25, and of course, I came out with 1 minute, and 21 seconds - 1:21. 2nd longest this year, and about 30 seconds higher then the next best girl. Woo.

2. I'm not sure whether I ever told you much about Pearse, but there was a good amount of interesting news regarding him last week. I was sitting in class, just doing work (or talking, whichever came first) when Derek leaned over and whispered to me, here is how it went:

Derek: Hey, Kelly..
Kelly(me): Yep, what's up?
Derek: Kelly, Pearse really likes you, do you like him??
Kelly: Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.. No.?

Derek, being Pearse's best friend was obviously going to relay that information to him, and when he did, I was shocked at how Pearse reacted. Here it is:

Pearse(enters class room a few days later..):By the way, Kelly, I don't have a crush on you.
Kelly(mildly surprised): Um, Good! I was hoping you'd say that..

The answer is YES - he DID anounce that in front of the entire class. WOW. THEN he continued bringing up how he didn't like me that way. All and all, Derek came up to me later and wispered in my ear "That was Pearse doing damage control.." Why is it that the one guy who actually has a thing for me just HAS to be him? Great.

3. A friend had a party on the weekend, which I couldn't make it to. (Had a competition all weekend) And some interesting stuff went on there.. Everyone was kicked out early (one girl was on the brink of alcohol poisoning..) Not such a good out come.

I don't think there was anything else really big, but I do have a few new friends to introduce you to!

Chloe - I've known her for over a year, but we've jut recently gotten close. It helps that we love the same sport!

Kelsey - Funny, funny girl, shes the reason I don't fall asleep half-way through the school dayItalic

Kristine - pretty girl, quite, but a blast once you get to know her!

Sarah - another new-ish friend. We seem to bond over the funniest things, and are the same, and polar opposites, all in one!

On A Day Like This...

There is nothing better to do then write on a sunday night, when you really have nothing you should be doing. This week was the first-week-of-school-from-hell.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday almost nothing good happened, that honestly was the 'from-hell' portion of the week. I guess it wasn't as bad as it felt. I had four of those days that seem to never end in a row. Then friday night Vikki came over, and so that brought the week to a bit of a happier place. I've missed that girl, and we were starting to drift apart, but I think it mostly had to do with the fact that we were both busy this summer. Saturday I was with Vikki until about 2-3, then came home for a lovely night of homework and babysitting.

Isn't it funny how the nights that are supposed to be the calmest, and the most boring are the ones that spiral out of control? I always found it quite ironic. We all know this is going to start when Lindsay came home around 8:30, which was beyond weird, so when I went down to find out what was up I wasn't surprised to find a boy standing there. (I don't know him that well, but I know that he and Linds are more than friends)
Of course, as soon as I see him the door bell rings! Then another boy and three other people come in, this second boy and Linds are definitely more than friends. Lets call them Boy #1 and Boy #2 (Boy #1 will be the one who rang the door bell) so of course Boys #1 & 2 know that they are looking at the competition and the games begin!
Needless to say one of them was going to end up being babysat by me, the only sober one. Ding Ding, we have a winner. Lindsay spent the whole night with Boy #1, leaving me to deal with Boy #2. Needless to say that I didn't get much work done.
Then Lindsay's best friend comes up and blames me for telling her that the guy she likes hooked up with another girl.. Where did that come from? Turns out this guy is our friend Kristen's brother! He is just showing up everywhere!
I finally got Mac to call me so I could escape the yelling, screaming, complaining and everything in between.
Today was that uneventful day that is great, but leaves you feeling like you accomplished nothing.
C'est la vie.

Lets Fast-Forward To Summer 2010 Please...

The last weekend of summer, the most bitter-sweet weekend of the year. Lets start with a few quick updates:

- Linds had Kristen's brother over for the night.. kind of strange, but whatever, I guess she prefers a fling over a friend.
- I am 100% missing Kristie, especially after spending that week with her in Ireland, and now shes back at university
- Vikki has been acting kind of strange lately.. I don't know, I haven't seen her much, I guess you could say we're drifting apart.

Spent the weekend at the cottage, which was nice - other then the fact that as soon as we got in the boat the clouds made their appearance. Natalie and I were slalom skiing (double/together), and we passed by a boat with about 6-8 guys, ranging from the ages of about 18-24, who were not bad looking. We instructed whoever drove to pass their cottage whenever we skied, which helped with the scoping.
After we ate lunch on saturday we took the paddle board out and paddled past their cottage. On our way back Natalie made me paddle, and we (100% accident) tipped the board out front of their cottage (because they came in on their boat and I couldn't balance with the waves) The hottest of the group leaned over and this was our little conversation:

boy: Do you girls need my assistance? I'd be happy to help you.
Natalie: Haha, no we're alright
Kelly (to Natalie) wispers: Why did you say NO?

Then once we got back on the board and paddled away I took off the t-shirt I'd been wearing, which was totally see-thru (luckily I was wearing my bikini under) BUT, of course they had taken the boat out again and were right beside us, I know, good job Kelly. Got a few whistles for that, got to pretend I couldn't see them staring, lovely, right?

We continued to flirt with them for the rest of the weekend, and when we left Natalie in the water by their cottage after she'd fallen skiing she even had a nice talk with the dad, haha.

Today we drove home, and are getting ready for the dreaded first day of school. Nothing interesting other then the fact that there will be new boys to scope out at school tomorrow. Talked to Tiff as well, one of the guys that we hung out with when I was visiting her asked about me, and about when I'll be coming back to visit, haha. Why is it that I can catch the interests of guys that don't live anywhere near me, but not one in this city, Help?

Who's There To Save The Hero...

I walked in the door this afternoon after meeting with a few friends who were off to university, and you can only guess how shocked I was when Lindsay was in the kitchen with Kristen's older brother, no sign of Kristen. It didn't seem to faze Lindsay, but I thought it was kind of strange, especially when she has hooked up with him in the past and seriously hurt her friendship with Kristen. Ooohh Lindsay..

Talked to Tiffany again today, got all the news about Chicago and what she's been up to, getting ready for the new school, and obviously, scouting out the hot boys. So far, not much new on the Chicago front, or the SCHS boys.

So I've been listening to a ton of Beyonce lately, and I have to say, she is an amazing singer/entertainer. I went with Vikki to her concert in July, and I had never really loved her music. After listening to her sing her little heart out for 2 hours straight, I decided that she is now one of my all-time favorite artists.

Songs to Listen to:
Listen, Sweet Dreams, Save The Hero & Radio
